NEXUS

Where capable men raise their standard across business and life

YOUR BEST YEARS ARE STILL AHEAD

A lot of men would look at what you've built and call it enough.

You're not that man, and your best years are still ahead. The only question is who you're going to build them with.

The growth is there, the revenue is there, and the weight of it, the decisions, the team, the responsibility, sits squarely on your shoulders every single day.

There's a particular kind of silence you'll recognise. The conversations that actually matter, the real ones, about strategy, risk and what you're building toward, those are happening less and less. The people around you are good at what they do. But they work for you, and that changes everything.

You filter yourself constantly, and after a while you stop realising you're doing it.

Underneath all of it, there's a feeling that life still has more to give. You can't always explain it, but you know when it's there.

That feeling is right. The men who act on it are the ones who go further.

The isolation is expensive — commercially and personally. The missed pivot. The hire you sat on too long. The decision you talked yourself out of because there was no one to think it through with.

But here's what the other side of that looks like:

Clearer thinking, faster decisions, a room of men who get it…

And the kind of year you look back on and think: that's when things really started moving.

That's what Nexus is built for.

WHAT NEXUS IS

Small. Selective. Serious.

Nexus is not a networking group. It's not a mastermind with a hundred members and a Slack channel nobody reads.

It is a tightly held peer group for ambitious British business owners — founders, operators, builders — who are running something significant and are ready to stop doing it alone.

It is built for depth, not volume. Real conversation, not surface-level. Genuine accountability with men who understand exactly what you're dealing with, because they're dealing with it too.

It works because it stays small. Every member is chosen deliberately. Every conversation has weight.

One of the things I've noticed over the years: men rarely change because somebody gave them a clever piece of advice. The shifts happened in ways that looked fairly ordinary from the outside.

A man would leave a Whole Man event and finally make the hire he'd spent six months thinking about. Another would start taking his health seriously again. Someone else would book something he'd been putting off because work always seemed to get in the way.

Small decisions on the surface. Bigger changes underneath. And then a ripple effect into everything else.

Nexus is where that ripple starts.

BUSINESS

Thinking becomes clearer. Decisions get made faster. The right hires happen. The pivots you used to miss — you start seeing them coming.

ENERGY & HEALTH

Energy starts mattering again. The fog lifts. You show up differently — at work, at home, everywhere.

LIFE OUTSIDE WORK

You become more present. The mental load that follows you home starts to lift. The things that matter outside the office get more of you.

WHO BUILT THIS

Anthony

Astbury

FOUNDER, WHOLE MAN ACADEMY

Anthony spent nearly two decades in high-pressure environments in the City — around traders, business owners, entrepreneurs and ambitious men. He stepped away to build something that mattered more — and since 2018 the Whole Man Academy has been the result.

What became clear over hundreds of conversations was this: the men who made the biggest shifts weren't always the smartest in the room. Very often, they had simply put themselves in better environments — with different conversations, higher standards, and people who challenged them and quietly expected more.

Nexus is the room Anthony would have wanted around him years ago.

It is the most direct, most focused way to work with him — and with a group of men who match your ambition and your seriousness.

THE PROCESS

Straightforward.

Selective.

Three steps. No obligation. Anthony reads every application personally.

01

You apply

Answer a few short questions about you and your business. It takes five minutes. There's no obligation and no sales call waiting on the other side.

02

Anthony reviews it

Every application is read personally. If the fit looks right — the right kind of business, the right stage, the right attitude — Anthony will be in touch directly.

03

You have a conversation

A straightforward call to make sure Nexus is right for you and you're right for Nexus. If it's a yes on both sides, you're in.

Nexus is intentionally small. Not every application will be accepted — and that's the point.

QUESTIONS

Everything you need to know before you apply

Who is Nexus for?

Nexus is built for British business owners, founders and senior operators who are running something serious and are ready to stop doing it alone. Most members are running businesses with revenues north of £1m, but the number matters less than the mindset. If you've built something real, you take responsibility seriously, and you're genuinely hungry to go further — you're probably the right kind of person. Previous business experience is taken into consideration as part of every application.

What do I get when I join?

As well as the ongoing sessions and check-ins, every new member completes the Nexus Baseline — a deep-dive questionnaire that gives Anthony a clear picture of where you are across business and life. You also get an initial one-hour focus call with Anthony before the group sessions begin.

How does it work week to week?

Every Monday you'll receive a planning and focus email from Anthony — he'll review it and come back with suggestions for business or life where he sees an opportunity. Every Friday there's a weekly evaluation. Fortnightly there's a group focus call with all members, built around business growth and the challenges you're actually dealing with. Between sessions you have direct access to Anthony and to the other men in the group.

Where are the events and how often?

A minimum of four in-person events each year — London dinners, experiences in the Cotswolds, track days and adventures, all within two hours of London. These aren't optional extras. They're where the real relationships get built.

Is the cost of the events included?

No — events are charged separately. This is deliberate. Some experiences will be a simple dinner, others more involved, and not every member will be able to make every event. You pay for what you attend, which keeps it fair and flexible.

Do I need to be based near the Cotswolds?

No. Current members are based south of London and north of Stratford — anywhere within a reasonable distance of the M40 corridor works well. If you're further afield and still interested, apply and we'll have a conversation.

My business is already doing well — is this still right for me?

Probably more so. A business that's working well almost always has another level to go — and the men who've already proven themselves tend to get the most from a group like this because they come with real questions, not basic ones. There's also plenty of scope to work on what's happening outside the office, which rarely gets the attention it deserves at this stage.

How many members are in Nexus?

Currently four. Nexus is intentionally small and will stay that way — the value of the group depends entirely on the quality of the conversations, and that only works when the numbers are right. There is no target to fill a hundred seats.

How is this different from a mastermind or networking group?

The connections here go deeper than the odd meeting or a Slack channel. You'll be expected to contribute — to offer your thinking and experience to the other members when you can help. The in-person events are built specifically to create the kind of relationships that don't happen in a Zoom room. It is a brotherhood, not a directory.

How much time does it take?

There's no minimum weekly commitment, but Nexus works because the members show up. That means completing your Monday focus and Friday evaluation each week — they take ten minutes each and they're the engine of your own progress. If you miss more than a week Anthony will follow up. This isn't a passive membership. It rewards the men who treat it seriously.

Do I have to sign anything?

Yes — a simple NDA. What gets discussed in Nexus stays in Nexus. Members talk openly about their businesses, their numbers, their thinking and sometimes their IP. That only works if everyone in the room has committed to keeping it private. It's a straightforward document and it protects you as much as anyone else.

What's the commitment — can I leave?

Monthly members can leave at any time. Annual memberships are non-refundable. If you apply and it turns out not to be the right fit on either side, you'll be told honestly — no hard sell, no awkward conversation.
